The PICASSO Renewable Fuel Complex is a second-generation biofuels project located at Cepsa’s La Rábida Energy Park in Palos de la Frontera, Spain. Developed in partnership with Bio-Oils, the facility produces sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel (HVO100) from organic waste feedstocks such as used cooking oil and agricultural residues. The project includes pretreatment and processing units, storage tanks, and marine logistics infrastructure. The complex is designed for high efficiency, minimal environmental impact, and will contribute to Europe’s decarbonization strategy, enhancing energy security and supporting the transition of transport sectors toward renewable energy.
