June 2, 2025 — SDENG ENGINEERING BUREAU, a leading independent engineering firm specializing in complex steel structures and Building Information Modeling (BIM), has been officially nominated for the Tekla BIM Awards 2025 for its role in the structural design of Spotify Camp Nou, the largest stadium in Europe.
Organized annually by Construsoft, the Tekla BIM Awards celebrate exemplary projects that showcase innovation, technical excellence, and advanced BIM collaboration. The awards highlight contributions that push the boundaries of digital construction and integrated engineering workflows.
As the engineering partner of the Limak Group of Companies, the main contractor for the project, SDENG has undertaken the design and detailed application study of the stadium’s challenging steel structure, which includes:
The entire structure, amounting to over 35,000 tons of steel, is modeled in Tekla Structures at LOD 500, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and full alignment from digital modeling to real-time fabrication and installation. The project is developed through a cloud-based, multinational collaboration involving engineering teams from Spain and Turkey.
This is SDENG’s second appearance at the Tekla BIM Awards. The company was previously recognized in 2013 as Public Vote Winner for its contribution to the Baku Olympic Stadium.
